I dispute something in that article.
On page 3, at the top it mentioned that the director of the mint, on a ferry from Oakland to San Francisco
Great clouds of black smoke blocked the sun.
Oakland is east of San Francisco, on a Ferry in the morning, the sun would be to his back.
Unless the entire sky was black, there is no way the smoke from the fire was blocking the morning sun if you are travelling from
Oakland to San Francisco.
Otherwise, an very interesting article.
