Rank the five most collected coin issues, and least collected

My guess would be starting with the most collected:

1. Morgan dollars
2. Lincoln cents
3. Buffalo nickels
4. Early commemoratives
5. Walking Liberty halves

As far as least collected, I'm not sure where to start but I would assume price and population figures would have an impact on it.

    Least collected? Early quarter eagles, early half eagles, early eagles. Most folks who have any examples will only have one or two. Seated dollars are not heavily collected by date either.

    Merury dimes have to be high on the list somewhere.

    Morgans and Lincolns have got to be one and two, but the Lincolns might be number one.

    Not so sure about the Buff nickels, though.

    Odd denonimations aren't collected by many people. Ie., look at prices for 1/2 dimes vs. dimes for coins of the same rarity. Three cent silver, three cent nickel, two cent pieces, twenty cent coins and to a lesser extent, half cents. Barber coinage isn't collected by many, though better dates can bring strong money.

    Least Collected? Yikes, there are so many series that are so expensive to collect, it's hard to know how to pick five, so I will name one:
    1. Capped Bust Proof Gold $2.50 - Expensive, small, impossibly rare, and who knew it even existed? The good news is that it's a short set: 1821, 1831, & 1833.
