Coin #2:

These two coins are from the same submission and were graded back-to-back. Setting aside for a moment that neither looks UCAM, one was graded as such. Which one is it?

Coin #1 looks closer, but it falls short of Ultra Cameo IMO.

Coin #1 The letters say it all.....btw...are these b4 pics of prepping or how the coins were actually submitted?

    Thanks!

#2, the UST has frost where it is not present in #1. Same thing with the last 6 in the date.

Coin #1 has much whiter devices and crappy mirrors. I'd be cheesed if I bought either as Ucam, but I'm a mirrors guy, so I like #2 better, even though NGC gave #1 the designation.

If you don't know, I sure don't know. And maybe NGC doesn't know either.

I would say #1, but it is really a Cameo only.

  • #2 because the date has stronger cameo and aren't we taught that the date is an important focal point? Participating only because Russ has so much to teach, as this is, I think, a guessing game? since it appears neither should get UC.

Mechanical error. You need to send it back for reholdering.

I don't know, but perhaps both of them were alittle short...

I voted #2. A touch more frost and slightly deeper mirrors.

I'll say #2, due to the better mirrors...... but this makes me feel worse about third party grading....

According to what I learned from you, neither one should be U-CAM - but, since one was graded such, I'll go with #1 because the legends appear to be just a bit frostier than those on #2.

Coin #1 is graded MS66CAM, and sold for $42. Coin #2 is graded MS66UCAM and went "not sold" with a seller's buyback at $500.

There has been a truckload of NGC graded UCAM SMS Kennedys appearing on Teletrade over the past few weeks, and the majority of them look like gift grades. A submitter or two seems to have gotten lucky.
