Assume you have the money and time to shop. How much "will-power" do you have?

That said, I only got four coins in three days at FUN, while at a regional Boston show a few weeks ago I got at least half a dozen and spent much more. If the right coins are there, I buy.
Hell, I don't need to exercise.....I get enough just pushing my luck.

But self control does play a factor also. I'm getting better here also. I'm happy with a coin every month or so.

Coincidentally, about as long as I go between paychecks.

About a month between purchases for me too. But each of my purchases will be two or more coins. I'm also counting a show as a single purchase for purposes of this thread.

Nothing is worse than finding the right coin, but not having the money just yet to pick it up.

is about right. sometimes two.
over time this will slow down as holes get filled so to speak.
If the right coin comes along i will find the money somewhere. I have a lot of money that i haven't borrowed yet.
I buy about 2 coins per month.

Patience is as important as money. Without, you'll never put together a quality collection.
