You're going to laugh, but finding a 1986(P) Kennedy half that doesn't look like it was struck through a tube sock is quite difficult.

From my personal experience--here are a few-

    Large cents 1809-1813 any
Bust Quarters almost any date up to 1828
    Trade dollars-any non-proof
    Morgans-1904, 1896-O, 1886-O, 1889-O,1890-O,1891-O, 1892-O, most 1893-95.
There are many more but these are my favorite ones to look for. Bob image

But once you find one, oo-la-la!
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

In grades of AU or higher:

    No drapery quarter 1838-39
    No drapery half 1839
A&R half 1853 - for how many survive, it's surprisingly tough
Any New Orleans seated quarter - I've seen 3 UNC's over 30 years
    that had great eye appeal.

And how about any 1932, 32d or 32s Washington quarter? These invariably come ugly, mottled, nicked up, etc. I don't go actively looking for these, but I have never seen one I really liked.

Frankly, it's getting to the point that for other than proof Barbers and Morgans, and BU Morgans / BU post 1940 coinage, it's getting downright ridiculous to find any superb originally toned coinage in any denomination. Thanks NCS!

I would have to agree with all of the above statements, although I don't collect branch mint gold.

I also have been looking for a well struck 1921 Peace Dollar, regardless of grade, and the hair detail is missing for all - save for the proofs - coins that I have seen.

Standing Liberty Quarters with "ultimate full head" and full shield lines with complete shield bosses are extremely difficult to locate.
