People are just buying any kind of silver... its amazing!

I was glancing on eBay, and people are buying any kind of silver they can get their hands on... It seems wierd to me, because wouldnt you want to purchase some type of bars or rounds from a known company?

Its really crazy and incredible. Is this all becuse of the ETF news?

  • I just think the out of hand debt and trade deficits in general has everyone rattled.
I know dealers who say people who have never owned gold before are buying
    because of these reasons.

No. People who bought stocks in the 1990's (and today?) didn't care that the companies faked their accounting. Why worry about fake silver now? image

Most people probably don't realize they're asking for trouble. I doubt anyone who knows what they're doing is buying random silver.

  • It's unbelieveable to me how much people want on ebay for a single BU roll of Silver Roosevelt dimes. You'd think they were ancient treasure!

  • Its going to be funny watching everyone pick the top! I can only imagine the flood of sales on ebay. Then again, maybe silver wont drop like a rock this time around. Either way it should be very interesting.

Fools always chase yield and can't be bothered with facts. I've seen this sort of thing so many times before, I've lost count. When I see a train wreck coming, I get out of the way.

We delivered another 28 100-ounce bars Thursday to the guy who bought 35 of them a couple of weeks ago. He said to call him if we get any more.

The thing that might not occur to casual traders is that people not selling can cause scarcity just as easily as people buying. There is usually a buy and sell market going on. But when the sell side of the equation disappears, then it's just a buy market. Case in point: Are you selling? Me neither. Not now. Maybe not for a long time. I don't know anybody who is selling now.

If the silver spot price doubles from today's price, I will be selling image
I have a few rolls of SAEs in my SDB that I was planning on keeping, but would sell for $20+/ounce of silver (bought when silver was $7.5/ounce and then again the 2006s with silver around $9/ounce).

Someday silver will have explosive gains. I plan to own at least some when it does.

one thing i noticed lately, if people are selling there's no buy it now, or if they do have one it's in the strato

Since the early 1990'2 the above ground silver supply has declined from about 1.4 billion ozs to an estimated 600 million ozs

(yes 130 million of which legendary investor Warren Buffett may or may not still own from his 1998 purchase).

Silver deficits now run between 50-100 million ounces per annum.

Basically we are using it all up... hence I would recommend buy until it hits $15....but it has the future to go to $20

I know, people are crazy. Two months ago I sold a one ounce Silver Towne silver bar on ebay for $10.75 plus $2.00 shipping. This was when Silver was at just above $9.00 an ounce. I dont know what that guy was thinking. I wish I would have had more to sell him.

If every Tom, Dick and Harry are buying silver now, it's time to sell, if you own any.

i think silver is priced fine right where it is.
a fair deal to pay 10-12 dollars for an ounce.
