Coins A Healthy Hobby

I started buying coins about 2 years ago. And have came to the conclusion that Coin Collecting is a VERY healthy hobby.

When I started to buy coins cash was a problem. So I thought Hey! If I stop smoking, I can use that money to buy extra coins and plus the added benefit to my health made this even more acceptable. Then a few months went by. I needed more cash to feed my new Habit ( hobby). So I cut back on my junk foods and this in turn was a boost to my health plus I was able to buy a few more coins. I live rather close to my work (about 1.3 miles) and I had 3 cars...... heck what do I need with 3? sell 2 of them I thought and buy more coins. Thinking harder I sold all 3 cars and bought a nice Bike to ride to work and walk on some days. Now!!! I am one healthy hunk of human specimen with a habit of COINS and as a side note My wife left me when I sold the 3 cars and now my stress level has reduced 90%. So next time someone wants a HEALTHY HOBBY suggest COINS to them.

It sounds like you may have a monkey on your very healthy back. It might be
wise to stop increasing your coin budget while you still have a roof over your
head. Did you get any proceeds from the sale of the kids? Is this why the wife
    left you?

    Good luck.

  • Excellent! I've never smoked, but I hear that it's a bear of an addiction to break. Congratulations for doing that!

This may sound like a healthy hobby but that means you haven't been reading all the threads. If you did you would have noticed that many of the collectors have gone over the edge mentally. Not me though. Never, never, never, never, never,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

  • I've thought long and hard about trading cigarettes for coins. I had the idea of putting the money I would spend on cigarettes in a jar everyday for a year. I smoke about a pack a day, and here in the great socialist commonwealth of Pennsylvania that comes to about $5. So $5 times 365 days = $1825 = one hella sweet coin.

I'm seriously thinking about getting serious with this. Seriously.
