I know the picture isnt the greatest but I'm interested in this coin. The seller says he thinks its 58.

not a 58 ... and that's a pretty good ding on the lower reverse rim

Its tough to weigh a weak strike with wear. I can tell you it definately is not mint state but it looks closer to AU50-53 to me. Even then it isn't the prettiest coin-- it looks pretty abused and beat up.

even still 50-53 is valued at 150-200 so I should make aneasy $100 on the coin :-)

You might be surprised when you go to resell it. Have you factored into your price the severe hits and rim dings? Those make your coin worth considerably less.

You havent asked for my opinion on how to resell coins but I think you would be better off buying really nice coins at or above their "market value" as those are true collector coins and will always have buyers-- (Think Mark Feld). Sure you just picked this Morgan up for under "market value" but what really is "market value" with this abused coin?

Ya I know the coin has it's problems but I'm confident I'll get a nice little return on it, not alot, but atleast 50 maybe 100

Agreed, AU50 would be generous for this coin, $40-50 on eBay, why bother?
