I bought one for 125 , sent it in, and it made MS65.... sold it for 495 (early 2006)I got another for 75, sent it in, made MS66... sold before there was a price guide for 867 (early 2005)
I got another for 225, sent it, made MS62... sold for 130. (late 2005)
Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.... sometimes people call it a leaf
It's a husk !
And though we can argue it's validity in the market..... Like the Cheerios Sacagawea... it came out like gangbusters and sold quick only to fade into oblivion for a few years... .then came back POWERFUL.
The error leaf Wisconsin will do the same thing. There was a time I bought one for 75. Same raw coin now is hard to touch for under 180.
Whatever it does, I'm kicking myself for selling early.
I am waiting for that one coin with a animal design on it, when the error on the coin would be a piece of doody near the tail. That would be the greatest collectable out there, think about it for a minute, you know you had sick friends that always did or said nasty things.
In a few years I see this happening some lame brain at the mint adding something to the die to alter the coin in some way.TY

..................WOW..........Intersting comparison.......................very intersting.....!!!!!!......Speechless for the moment..........
To TwoSides2aCoin ...You make a point when you say **.then came back POWERFUL.**
I must draw the line to show the distinction between the two....The Sack is a complete Legitimate coin bearing a unique different pattern.Without controversy mind you as to it's origin and specific mintages.
The Wisconsin on the other hand is a mystery behind it with different origins...eg....Seperate Hi...&...Lo....with no explanation of the origin of the dies and no record of mintages.
They ..ARE.. both Unique.......and will command future high prices.....****.BUT....****One will fade and the other will not................

Sounds like the 1913 Liberty nickel.

I disagree. Nothing mysterious about the 3 legged buffalo. The dies clashed and a workman over lapped the reverse die to remove the clash marks and accidentally removed one of the legs.

These are like the SAC Goodacre and Millenium the price is whatever somone is willing to pay. Throw out all price guides as they are outdated. Maybe it was worth $4750 for this individual to own that coin. To me it was carrying a $4649.75 premium giving $100 for the 67, I have no interest but more power to those that are.

I'm a HAPPY PERSON I picked up two sets in December or January 2005, before they skyrocketed in Camelback, AZ for $20 a set, and my dad was lucky to pick up from a great friend/dealer, 2.5 sets for $10 a set!!
Makes me REGRET that I should have ran back home to got all the money I have and bought out one of the dealers, who would have sold me a roll of each for $800.00
Now I couldn't even get a high-grade coin for that price even if I wanted to!!
Edited to add:
I have about 40 Rolls of Wisc-D rolls sitting around somewhere that I bought at the local bank... maybe it's time to search through them??
