Do you ever have dreams or nightmares about coins?

I had a nightmare that I bought an 1864-L Indian Cent in an auction for something like $23,000, and had no way to pay for it! I was wondering why the heck I had bid. It was pretty scary.

I believe we sleep mostly to dream, and that dreams are the brains off-line time to sort out new information and make some new synaptic connections, throwing away what is useless information and linking in the new useful information.
Unless of course you're Captain Pike.

I fell asleep watching a late night coin show .
I wanted to buy a 1K face bag of morgans and i was at his house
LOOK! GEM ! BU ! , look at them shine BU BU BU . he was following me around like a puppy BU ! GEM! BU! GEM!
this went on for hours . Iam glad i woke up . dont rember if i bought them.
the seat area was a mess with wrappers etc... so i asked for a broom and started sweeping them up.
in the sweeping there were some old coins so i kept sweeping other areas. i eventually had a pile waist high and
people were throwing change onto the pile as i swept.
Every so often I dream that I find a bunch of mule error type coins. Just freaky coins.
The bad part is waking up.

That will keep you from falling back asleep. Think I even yelled at her at breakfast "don't EVER do that again." Poor thing, she didn't know what I was talking about.

A while back I was practicing lucid dreaming (dreaming and knowing that you are dreaming), and I found my most effective dream sign was to look at change. For those who don't know, a dream sign is something you look for (awake and in dreams) to test if you're dreaming. For some reason when I look at change in my dreams there are always old coins (Mercury dimes, Indian head cents..). Also the dates don't always match the type of coin. When I see stuff like that, PRESTO, I know it's a dream!

C'mon, Captain Pike was smarter than Captain Kirk - or at least a better actor!
You're weird. You'll fit right in around here.

Coins are fun to collect, but dreams? No way!

That's not wierd, I do it all the time. It works and it's fun. I use my watch, or a nearby clock.

in the dream I went down to georgia to meet up with Lordminimacrovan, to get some detecting pointers. after showing me a few tricks, he asked me to start on one end of the field, and he was going to check the other. so I walk down to my end, and start swinging my garrett waiting for a signal...after about 5 mins, I got a real strong signal, so I look over my shoulder, and see rob is digging, so he obviously found something. so I get out my trusty blade, and cut a plug, and when I pull the plug out, low and behold, its a 1794 FHD. I reach down to grab it, but it seems its attached to something, so I pull harder, and up comes an arm attached to it, followed by that oh so familiar hat and face, and rob says: I told you all good finds would be made by me!
and then i woke up
