I really like the look on that coin - especially the reverse.

    MS66*

The coin is hideous. Grade = crap. Therefore, send to me so I can fix it.

    Thanks

The obverse right field has some hits, and so does the portrait. I would grade the obverse MS65. The reverse looks better than the obverse for strike and marks, say MS66. Toning is super, so I guess MS66 on the holder.image

  • That is one Beautiful Coin. I'd say by the looks of it is in an NGC holder, I'd guess it
is a MS67 Star. Definitely deserving of one if not already. image Mike

  • That is a very beautiful Lincoln Commem. I would say the coin has the eye appeal of gem, but there are a few too many hits on the obverse (Lincoln’s jaw, cheek and in the field) to qualify for that grade. The obverse is probably an ms64 and the reverse a 66, so a split grade combined to ms65. Gorgeous coin either way. image matteproof

Love the color and lustre on that one John!!!image Quite a few hit's throughout so I'm going with MS64. Still a "Super" coin.

Very nice toning on one of my favorite U.S. coins - just plain beautiful, as any good Illinoisian would say! imageimage

The reverse on these seems to always look better than the obverse. It's hard to see the surfaces in that picture with that tone, but it looks like there are some hits in the field and on the portrait. I would call it an MS64 from the obverse picture. The reverse and the tone may give it a boost and put it in an MS65 holder though.

Nice coin, no matter the grade.

Drill a hole in it and send it to me. It is a beautiful coin. I have always like the Eagle on the Illinois.

my guess 64 tops. I see what I think is chatter out in front of Abe's nose...hard coin to grade digitally

Technical grade is 64. But the look should easily bump it to a 65 and maybe even a 66.

That is a nice coin. The technical grade is probably right on, 64 or 65. The star is certainly warranted. Beautiful strike and what can you say about a richly toned commemorative? One of those coins, IMO, that looks good in a collection and is probably a great value. Why buy a 67 when you have this nice coin?

I must admit my too high grading guess was influenced by what grade of Classic Commems Dizzyfoxx normally buys. This Lincoln must be the least expensive Classic Commem Dizzy owns.image

Looks like NGC missed the mark.

Lincoln's don't look like this frequently.
