Early Report from Baltimore!

I just got back from the convention center. This is my first time down at Baltimore and I was shocked by the size of the bourse! There are easily over 500+ dealers! The bourse is very confusing and it is easy to lose your favorite dealers! Unfortunately my table is out in the boonies! I am in the back corner! Surprisingly, there are a couple other better dealers in my area including Kaminski Coins, Scarsdale Coins, Silver Town, and Dick Osborn.
Dealer wholesale seemed about average today. The floor was busy, however, not overwhelming by any stretch of the imagination. I did a fair amount of business today with a decent amount of buying. Nice reasonably priced coins were few and far between.
Things that seemed to be hot at the show were better date gold of all types! I sold a killer 1880 G$1 in 67PL! Coppers seemed to get their share of attention as well! There also seemed to be a strong demand for toned type including blue indian cents and target toned others. Some areas that seemed to be struggling included seated coinage of all denominations and MS Morgans (common to slightly better date and grades).
I was able to meet up with Cape, Nocerino18 (who I am sharing a table with), and GreatToning. I look forward to meeting with more members tommorow afternoon.
I was also able to view the coins that Laura purchased the other day at the ANR sale (the 1824 I think and the toned walker). Both pieces were very nice looking. The half was clearly undergraded and very PQ. The Walker had great color, but seemed a bit flat IMO. I don't know if the price tag warranted the coins. IMO they were not worth that much, however I am sure Laura knows what she is doing.
The submission services seemed a bit slow. I never saw a line starting at either PCGS, NGC, or ANACS. PCI didn't have a line either. I guess no one wanted to protect their investment at the show. I submitted a sweet semi-PL bust half to PCGS that should cross easily at 64! I am hoping for the 5 though!
I invite all members who read this to stop by table 1809 at the show this weekend! Enjoy!
This will be updated tommorow!

Activity during setup was apparently okay with decent attendance by visiting dealers and bourse table holders. However, all the dealers I spoke to commented on the lack of "buzz" that should have been felt on the floor this morning.
Authorized dealer for PCGS, PCGS Currency, NGC, NCS, PMG, CAC. Member of the PNG, ANA. Member dealer of CoinPlex and CCE/FACTS as "CH5"
