I'd like to comment on a specific forum member.

I asked in a thread yesterday, which posting member(s) you always make a point in reading their threads. I agree with Russ that any post from anyone can be a good one, but I'd like to give a image to one of the forum members that I feel always presents his comments with knowledge and interesting content.
I always make a point to read either his posts and/or his thread replies. He also has a image website and I'm glad he has always kept his same "green demon" icon... it's easily recognizeable. image TomB

Woo-Hoo!!! I noticed you cashed the check, so I assumed this post would be coming.image Thanks for the kind words, dizzyfoxx.image By the way, the green demon was one of the original dozen or so icons we were allowed to choose from and very few folks have ever used it.

I've PM'ed with Tom just lately and found him to be an astute collector of the Barber coins, which are a passion to me also.

    Thanks Tom.

Unlike Tom, so many of us open our mouths, merely

to place our collective feet in it. However, even amidst the dross,

there are always pearls of wisdom and elements of essential truth

    to be gleaned.

There are a lot of great posts here from a lot of great posters (and some not as great posters) so
it's not really fair to single anyone out.

I still wanted to reply to this thread.

Who TomB? Yeah, he's OK. One of the most knowledgeable posters IMO on many different series. He will give an honest opinion, and whether positive or negative... if you don't listen it's your loss. But, since I didn't get a check here is my problem with him.... Heh, Yeah I know he is also a gentleman.
I've seen him give advice, to a few folks that in return they flamed him. So what does he do? He stays diplomatic (yes I know y'all like that) and just clarifies his point and moves on. Now I "Think" he mentioned to me he either lived in New York, or New Jersey, or went to school there. Myself and my family originally from Bronx New York, I know he has it in him to say it like it is.image Can't even get the "Velvet Hammer" approach from him. Ah, but if we only knew what he really wants to say to some of these yo yo's. I grew up with a different definition of a "Gentleman" but I better not get into that on here.image
Not a bad thing either, I've just never understood these nice guys.image

I get along just fine and respect TomB to the fullest. Might have something to do with he can appreciate the same kind of crusty looking Bust halves as me. We like "Pretty" but not the same kind that most of the folks Ohhh and Ahhh over on here. You know, the blast white centers with the vibrant "Blue" around the periph. OK, stman all done now. Hahaha

Tom is a smart man, and I've enjoyed meeting him on both boards. He's one whose opinion I value.

I'm glad TomB is posting more often over here. There was a time when he all but abandoned us and posted exclusively over there. Nothing wrong with Sleepy Hollow, I just feel more comfortable over here.
