I thought this was a deal of a lifetime!
But then I read the small print. . .
(Did you catch it too?)

There should be a rule against that. Is he flying it out here himself?
Really I would.
What a jerk! GET A ROPE.......FIND A TREE......JUSTICE!!!!

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment
<< <i>The BIN buyer probably emailed the guy and asked if that shipping price was for real. At that point the seller probably told him what he really wanted for the coin and had the amount over a grand chalked up as a shipping charge. >>
The coin looks like heII, the grade listed in the description is not what it says on the current holder and shipping is $9500 and youSTILL assume that the buyer sent a rational email prior to hitting the BIN?
But really, this is rediculous and eBay needs to crack down on him. I wonder if the guy that placed a bid saw those shipping rates....
EDIT: Nevermind, he didn't bid, he BOUGHT IT?!?!?
Looking for Type Coins for my Dansco #7070....Got anything? PM me.

He simply wants to avoid the final value fee.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Speechless. I'm speechless.
Check out my current listings: https://ebay.com/sch/khunt/m.html?_ipg=200&_sop=12&_rdc=1
Worry is the interest you pay on a debt you may not owe.

But you only pay $1 for each additional item shipped, so it could be a great deal in you buy in quantity.

Exactly!
Maybe someone should try selling an old ANACS picture of a nice rarity (sans coin)
<< <i>I had contacted this seller in regards to the shipping costs for the f12 chain cent, before it sold.. He stated he made an error in the listing, Shipping cost is only $9.50.. >>
I'll go over my head into debt to buy every chain cent like this one for $1,009.50 you can find.

Am I the only one who thinks this is a pretty darn nice chain cent? Okay, it's not a perfect planchet, but how many chains are on perfect plans? Judging by the pic, it is free of the any cleaning and the monster pitting, cuts, rim hits and what-have-you that is seen on so many chain cents. I think it would be a well above average chain cent in-hand. A lot of people cannot afford or do not want to spend the money for a perfect specimen.
The shipping may well have cost only $9.50, but who knows what the buyer may be paying in total...
"Acmestuff-com" (not the real name)
AND....he had about 15 items for sale. H O W E V E R....... on a ...wild....guess.... I tried my browser on www.acmestuff.com (DOT com) and ....... presto!
No..."store" fees. And THOUSANDS of items on the website.
the shipping was 9.50. it was a typo.
it appears to have been a great deal for such a unique coin.
<< <i>bill,

If it's a typo, why does he specifically cite the shipping cost in bright red letters?
Take into consideration the shipping cost when you are submitting a bid.
He also writes "discount available" beside the shipping charge which is ONCE again shown as $9,500 in the header of his offering.
I can see no evidence that the shipping charge is a typo. $9.50 would not cover the cost of mailing this coin via Insured Register Mail or even First Class Insuraed.
in black text.
since the page appears to be generated by ebay when
someone fills in a blank, i still see it as a possible typo?
i guess i was just trying to be helpful and thought
you misread the thread.
<< <i>I had contacted this seller in regards to the shipping costs for the f12 chain cent, before it sold.. He stated he made an error in the listing, Shipping cost is only $9.50.. >>
As he said this before it sold, he was able to make the correction, yet did not.
Apropos of the coin posse/aka caca: "The longer he spoke of his honor, the tighter I held to my purse."
<< <i> $9,500 for shipping cost's. What a joke >>
FEE AVOIDANCE. Usually Ebay will NARU for this........

<< <i>Sounds like a clever way to get out of paying an exhorbiant EBAY fee based on the sale price. >>
I think you mean immoral.
