    Amazing coin Lucy. I think the reverse design on that coin is pretty awesome.

    Nice lustrous Elgin.

    What I don't like about this issue is that on the reverse the mother often appears to have no face features, and even her arms look flat. This is a nice looking design, but it simply does not strike up properly. Perhaps some of the relief should have been changed from that big obverse head shot, and more given to the faces on the reverse.
    I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

    Great coin with a great story behind it. Statue was crumbling then repaired and finaly finished years after project was started. The statue `s meaning is first came the scouts, then came the families and then the kids to the new territory.

    Why would you mix two different lighting types on the same image? You have two sets of bulbs with different color temperatures.

    no I don't.... if you are refering to a blue tint seen in the fields it is due to my blue blinds in the window...

    i forget to remove them alot when i am shooting pictures...

    I didn't even know you were putting that series together! It's probably the funnest series in the hobby!

    Great coin, I love the almost matte surfaces that these come with, and the strong luster is a bonus on this one. This coin beats some subdued 67's with nasty hits on the obv portrait I have seen out there lately.
