1921, you have a choice between a PCGS 65 dmpl, or a PCGS 67pl. The 65 dmpl has a pop 1/0. The 67 pl has a pop of 1/0. Same money, $15,000.

If I read the figures correctly, there are no 68s, and 6/0 67s, so technically the 67pl is "the" finest known example of this year/mint.

I'm inclined to go for the 67pl. Just wondered what the rest of you thought. [The 65dmpl ex Jack Lee just sold at the Heritage sale at around 15k.]

Wish I had 15K and your problem--go with the 65dmpl--the Jack Lee pedigree won't hurt.

There's a reason why Jack went with the DMPL in his set. ;-)

For a registry set, I am guessing the 67PL would provide more points, but I don't know. For my own set, I'd go with the 65DMPL but make sure the DMPL is up to snuff.

I am right there with ya ... my thought: buy both! If not, if they are both appropriately graded, I would go with the 67 PL. I am a DMPL man myslef, but 67PL!!! Come on Do you have any other 65 DMPLs in your collection? Probably. Do you have any other 67 PLs??? Probably not. I sure don't.

I'd pick the 67PL, as long as it really is a PL.

Look at them in hand. Maybe the 65DMPL is over graded and should be a PL. Maybe the 67PL is graded conservitavely due to the high grade and is possibly a DMPL in any other grade. In the end which one looks better, if you can't tell then get the 67PL.
