Has anyone received their ANR New York Connoisseur's Collection catalog yet?

I know the catalog has been posted to the website, but to steal a phrase from RYK, I need to see it in person to determine if it is bed-worthy. Has anyone received theirs yet?

All ANR catalogs are "bed-worthy" by definition. How could they not be??

They could full of circulated LM cents and QDB, etal, would still write fascinating descriptions.

Mine arrived a few days ago.

Got mine on the 27th. I'm only looking at one coin. After the bidding is over, I'll enjoy the catalouge.

Yep - alot easier to preview than the online version. Unfortunately, I can only do either NY or Baltimore and am doing the former. Hope you guys have a great time - looks like there are some great coins there.

It would appear that anything ANR puts out is top notch.

I'm in Korea and mine arrived today. It's really nice, I just have to figure out how to get enough money to buy everything I want.
  • The catelog has some really great photos--enough that I plan to drive to Balitimore and look at a lot of coins, even if I can't really afford most of them.

  • Nope. I just moved so I'm still waiting for the ol' forwarding.

I got mine the other day as well. The pictures are great, and of course, those are the first things that you notice when you are paging through the catalog. I wonder why the other firms are so far behind with photos. It is obvious that the first thing that catches your eye is a good photo. I stated this previously and I will say it again-- they should give that photographer a raise or otherwise do what it takes to make sure that he never leaves the firm.

My sister is a graphic designer, and she used to work for a printing company that did pre-press work for B&M. She tole me they were her most demanding customer (I think her exact words were "drove me nuts" image ). You can take the best photos imaginable and it won't make a bit of difference if the printing job is lousy. Obviously B&M (and now ANR) is paying attention to those details as well.

Excellent catalog. Great reading and photos throughout.

BTW, photographer is Doug Plasencia, and their graphics designer for the catalogs is Jennifer Meers. Have a looksie at Their Bios
