Question about authenticity of card and seller. Any comments from the board?

According to the SMR, the last PSA 10 Schmidt rookie sold for $20,000 in 2004.

With that being said, I would think a buyer would rather purchase this card from a seller with a feedback greater than 77, and who has more than one eBay transaction in the last 6 years. This seller doesn't.

I agree. No activity in 6 months is not good. Could be stolen account.

Donato, I think it is actually 6 YEARS!!! That's a dormant account. Ebay should probably just suspend or eliminate an account that is not used in, say, 12 months. Probably a lot of these "dead" accounts that the scam artists get a hold of.

since that acct had a transaction.

not 6 months, not 6 years.
    2 and a half years.

still I agree, long enuff for ebay to have done something. However this seller could have been a bidder with this acct and just never won, then one day he found in his granny;s attic a 73 Schmidt.

well you all know the rest.

    Good for you.

Steve, if you want to get picky, my first post said one transaction in about 6 years, and the transaction before the one you listed was in 2000. Just wanted Donato to know it was more than 6 months.

Hey, picky I know, but you started it. image

I wish they would legalize public floggings for ebay scammers.

Yep, bigtime scam. Sweet card though. I reported it to Ebay, has anyone else?
