1946 Canada 25 Cents MS64 AND 65

I have seen this date listed in Krause in MS63 at 70.00. I have always thought this was tough 64 and higher... does anyone have pricies for this date in 64 and 65? Thanks in advance...

Thanks Ajaan... I anticipated a lower price in 64 and a slightly higher price in 65. I still think the 46 may be a sleeper in the higher grades MS64+

It is one of the higher valued coins in the series. Higher valued than the 1948.

I maintain the reason is that these were not saved in quantity... seriously, I would even argue that the 46 dollar is tougher in a 65 grade than the 1945... and for the same reason... these were not saved either.

1946. Servicemen coming back from Europe. More money to spend. Sounds reasonable.

  • I made a PCGS 65 about two years ago. If memory serves I got about $400 for it, and I think I let it go too cheap.

  • No memory served wrong--it was $300. Yep, too cheap. Really nicely toned.

It must be noted, Canadian Trends values are for ICCS graded coins.
