I've seen it, and the reverse is spectacular! I'm not going for it but what do you think about this one?image

As usual the Heritage images don't do this coin justice. I take you at your word that the reverse is all there but I think the reserve may be set a bit too high. My guess is it doesn't sell.

It sure does look like a very pretty coin. I sure wish I could afford something like that. It looks so very colorful.

The obverse of that coin does nothing for me and the reserve appears to be quite optimistic.

A very cool Sharpsburg! I would love to have one. I don't know why the mint mispelled Sharpsburg and called it Antietam.

This particular example I do not care for, but in general, this is an espcially nice design.

Based on the photo I would have to say: nothing special.

    What caused that toning pattern?

My first thought was that another, smaller coin was held to it with a rubber band. But then the obverse would show a similar negative space, unless there were others in the stack.

    What else?

The obverse toning is only average, for those that like toning. The reverse toning is indeed worth a premium. The obverse shows its share of marks for the MS67 grade, and the bridge is weakly struck.

Overall, I think PCGS hit the grade right, and the coin is worth $1200-1300.
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

Looks to be a nice, originally toned gem++, with some color. Probably worth $2kish-$2500, max.

The reserve is insane, in my opinion, but I'm not a huge fan of the coin.

    Again, from images.

Wow a reserve of $6700 for a $1500 coin at best. What am I missing? Coin is nice but not that nice.
