    No matter who prints and distributes it, the currency is still that of the state and derives its value on that basis.

    Those of us who don't trust in God are every drop as American as those who do. 'E Pluribus Unum' speaks nicely to this: out of many, one.

    Furthermore, having busts of people on coins is what you do with kings.

    I'm all for dropping both.

    Let's get back to allegorical representations of Liberty, with nothing more printed than Liberty, E Pluribus Unum, the name of the issuing nation, and the denomination.

    being American.
    it's not going to shake anyones faith to remove it, but why not just leave it.
    yeah, i like apple pie too.
    best place in the world to live, and not by chance.
