Frank Chiong Christmas Memorial Giveaway for my 4500th Post ( And the winner is...)

For my 4500th post I would like to have a Christmas giveaway in rememberance of Frank. To enter simply post either a Christmas picture that reminds you of Frank or a MS Franklin. I will draw a winner on December 9th which is 4 months
since Frank left us. I will send a package to the winner that is wrapped and I ask the recipient not to open the package until Christmas day and then post what they recieved here.

Kyle, what a nice tribute to a great person.

I do not wish to be included as a possible recipient, but thought I would revisit this thread that Frank posted about his prooflike 1949-S Franklin half dollar. I know how special it was to him and how much he believed in it.

Well....I've got no Frankies...and Frank the Pug and I had discussions about the god awful things...

And I've got no real good Xmas picture that reminds me of him.

I still refer to the franklin guides he wrote (I cut and pasted them into one big word doccument ( had to resize most of the awsome pictures)-

Over my year of posting ( and months of lurking) He help make me into a stronger Fankiephile.

I just wish I could capture the color of this old Hallmark better.

I have never met Frank, but from what I heard of him, seemed to be a very nice guy. Since he was called "The Pug" and the fact that I am big fan of Pugs, thought I'd make an addition to the pug pictures - my little buddy Pepper, who lives with my folks in NE Illinois. Yes, pugs do come in more than one color, but they're all good, friendly dogs with hearts of gold. If there are any forum members who love pugs, there is a national club dedicated to the Pug breed - www.pugs.org. I wish everyone on the forum Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Nice tribute CoinAddict.

Here is a Frank coin. About 2 years ago Frank welcomed me to a coin show by tossing this down the aisle to me when I arrived. He announced to all that he finally found a nice 52 half that I would even like. Of course he was playing on my "inability to appreciate Frankies" (at least that's what he called it). What a relief when I caught it and saw it was a lovely toned Wash-Carver. And typical of Frank, he insisted it was a gift. And typical of me, I put twenty-five in his pocket when he wasn't looking. Of course at lunch that day he was pissed cause he figured out where the twenty-five came from. So after another battle I we settled on him buying lunch with the twenty-five.

Oh, and I am enterring on behalf of a YN.

Frank loved to eat at Skyline chili and Steak n Shake while he was here in louisville. I once joked to him that Steak n Shake went out of business after he left!!
