and to think this coin used to be white ... share your album toners

I bought this coin so long ago, digital cameras were still an idea. Too bad we can't compare pictures then until now.
Even then I tried to buy less of the white than the originally toned coins, but occassionally I bought them white then, just as I do now. This one was one of those ... and when I bought her, I assure you she was white. The date was tough, the surfaces and strike worthwhile, and even though I had a hard time with justifying the price I paid back then, she came home with me.
For the better part of ten years she rested most of her time in a whitman album ... for the last few years in a little snap-tite ... and maybe here pretty soon, the PCGS graders will get to have a look up close, as I am considering sending a batch of these in.
No matter, I just thought I'd share, as I'm sure glad she stayed

Do you have formerly brilliant coins that have been sitting collecting color for a decade or more? Please share them!!

The toning on this one has grown deeper through the years since I bought it.
I like them, thanks for sharing...
Here in the High Dry Desert of Colorado we do not get much toning, we have to import it..."-)
Not to muck this thread up with Modern Crap ( but I will any way"-) here's one that was in the right place for the right amount of time...
Not Whitman Toning but a similar original cardboard insert...
Currently Listed: Nothing
Take Care, Dave
Gemini, although I'm not a big fan of the design, I really like the color that one has developed
