Anyone else waiting on their October Subs?

Hi-
I have two subs I'm still waiting on from the October grading special! I have one sub that has been there for 31 days and the other 29 days! Is anyone else still anxiously awaiting their results??? I see that some of the November submission results are starting to be posted...... That irks me!!

I figure it'll get done when it gets done. I'd much rather have it done right than done fast- just hope I'm not 0 for 2!

I've got 3 submissions in the first week of November. I guess I/we are spoiled from recent submissions, I'll bet it is several weeks before we see anything. There was a show in Chicago they were at lasy weekend. They probably only be working 1/2 days this week ( most on vacation) and I think there is a show the following week as well.

It is hard to be patient, but this is the holiday season.

83 cards from the 1970's special logged in 10-21 and still waiting. I'm really starting to wonder how a publically traded company can have such poor customer service skills. Not only do you get the canned responses from the CS people, but their "system" choosing what gets graded first needs some sort of rhyme or reason. Doing a ton of November specials before finishing up the October specials is just plain stupid and and causes customer disatifaction.

They really show bring in a CS consultant to review and correct the processes at PSA. It just seems that no one is working together and one hand has no idea what the other one is doing.

I think this is the 4th or 5th "anyone else waiting for October grades" post... I think it would help a lot if PSA made public their policy (if there is one) with regards to turn around times on the specials, if there is any ordering or priority or any sort of FIFO policy at all. As it is now, it's seems so arbitrary and unfair to see November specials post in 5 days when there are so many Octobers still outstanding.

I have been told by multiple customer service reps. that there simply is no rhyme or reason. Whatever they feeling like doing next rules the day.

I have been at both extremes on my submissions (though I must say, with the exception of one submission, all of my recent submissions have had lightening fast turn around times on the specials). The understanding I have is that the graders have some discretion as to what they will grade that day. It does not make sense to me and I would like to see it be a first in, first out type deal within each service level. As it stands now, it seems the more odd ball you get in your submissions, or the more variety you have in sets, the longer it seems you will have to wait on getting your cards back. All of my recent longer waits have been when I have submitted 78 Donruss KISS cards; too odd ball I guess!

So, I just put myself in the grader's shoes: it is getting later in the day, I am getting tired working in this dark room looking at cards all day in any event, do I want to grade that submission of 40 76 Topps baseball cards or that beastly submission of 30 cards from 30 different odd ball issues? You as the grader would pick the former every single time.

I too would like more clarification on the process and would like to remove the discretion given to the graders. To the extent possible, it should be first in, first out within service level.

On my last order, we fogot it to make just 1 submission #. Both orders in Oct.18. 1st submission of 49 & 50 Bowman baseball commons had the grades posted 11/16. I'm still waiting on the 2nd submission of 52, 53, & 59 Topps baseball commons and 1 59 Topps FB common. It must be that FB common holding up my order I guess. BTW, I shipped an order to GAI on the same day. I had the cards back in time for the Shriners' show. Customer service has no numerical number that can be put on a profit and loss statement for shareholders.

Subs? Im still waiting for my freakin membership package.

I re-upped my membership around the third week in October and still no magazine, no free submission forms. I have called and spoken with Laura the supervisor several times and she tells me that my package is on the way, well after Thanksgiving and still NOTHING,

They received 1/3 subs from me on 10/19. The other two were logged in around the same time. The other two flipped in about 10 days-2 weeks. Still waiting on the first one.

I really think CU should look into (grade 'em as they come in). They record the date received, why not grade them chronologically too?

Seems fair to me.

Finally some good news! My sub from 10/10 popped today! I'm still waiting on a sub from 10/12 but if things hold true it should pop up on Wednesday! My sub from today was a group of 12 1971 topps baseball coins! I ended up with five psa 9's and seven psa 8's... I'm happy and it was worth the wait!

With December's specials coming up later this week I bet they want to clean out the house.. Plus, half the guys probably had most of last week off so they should be recharged and ready to kick some butt in the grading room!

Just a few notes: the CP Globetrotters 9s are the first graded this high, and the only PSA graded set is at a GPA of about 6.8, this will be the #1 set in a few days! In fact there were only 13 8s graded before this, there are 19 in this submission alone!

A few of the hockey are for my sets, the rest will be available soon, including the 2nd 1971 McCallum in PSA 9, these are the 1st 2 graded higher than 8.

I thought that the 1970 Orr would be a 6, very happy with the 7 as I paid $30 raw. The 1971 Orr was a PSA 5 until mid Oct. now it's a 6.

Overall I'm very happy with the grades although it was a long wait made worse by the fact that the November Specials were being done before the Oct. Specials.

Nothing worth showing off, asst'd 6,7 & 8's in 70's football for my registries and a couple 70 Topps Baseball that were all a grade lower than I expected. I thought they looked nice and I got them reasonably cheap. Oh well. I also realized I am completely hit or miss on 71 football as well. I did ask for No Qualifiers on this sub and was rewarded with NQ. I sent in a 25 card modern sub for this months special this morning.

Good news guys!
The guys at psa are cleaning house and all the October subs are popping up left and right! I suppose with the December specials only 2 days away they want to get caught up before the Holiday rush. I started this post 2 weeks ago and my subs from 10/10 and 10/12 popped up yesterday and today! One was '71 football game inserts (sub: 581080/ Zip: 56537) and other '71 topps baseball coins
(sub:580995/ Zip:56537) if anyone is interested in how they turned out! I'm happy with five more coins that are psa 9's and eight game cards that ended up psa 9's.. Good luck to everyone else that is still waiting... It should be any day now!

I'm sgtill waiting on two October submissions. I probably punch them in to check 3 or 4 times a day..uugghh!! I called PSA and they said it can take up to 45 business days...thats over TWO months...is that really the case?????

Howdy October submitters!
It's hard to imagine that guys are still waiting now that the December specials are up and running. My 2 subs that popped up this past week were 33/35 day waits... The kicker is I sent in one order in October that was received on one day and graded 4 days later!! I hope everyone who still has an October order still not graded gets some early Christmas presents this next week with some marvelous grades!! Hang in there! I think I checked 3-4 times every day looking for the results!! It's brutal waiting!! Especially if you sent in some nice cards that have a chance at 9's or 10's.

Still waiting since 10/24. I saw on these boards people were not getting anywhere calling, so I emailed PSA on 11/14 and got this response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We are in receipt of your e-mail and will respond in the order received. Please be advised that this e-mail is not in lieu of a direct response. Please allow 3 business days for review and for us to contact you. Customer Service's hours are Monday-Friday 7am-5pm Pacific Time.

As of today, 19 days later, no response to my email. Oh well, so much for customer service.

I'm still waiting on my Oct special since 10/24. I called today (for the 1st time) and told them it had been 43 days, what's up with that? They said it's only been 28 "business" days so I might have to wait a full 45 business days.

Cuda - where did all the great MB's come from?

Actually, I bought two of the complete games over the summer on Ebay...just was waiting to submit them. I do collect, but alos do a lot of selling on Ebay, but just might keep the 10's and put a graded set together. I should have submitted the commons too instead of just the stars...the pop's are much lower for the commons. I looked at the registry, and if I can get all 10's, I'd be golden...looks like the top 2 or 3 sets all have one PSA 9 and the rest 10's!!! I also have a lot of the '68 Topps Game cards I might submit and see how I do!

Mike- No, the games were opened...just advertised as looking like they were played with very little....and they were right, the cards were all very nice....the commons should get the same type of grades (9's & 10's I'm thinking).
