    It's a $4 coin ungraded. (Greysheet bid)

$8 or $9 to grade it.

Seller is trying to cut his losses.

I have one. You would buy it if you collect ANACS slabs with cert #'s of 2384953.image

It's a $4 coin raw in the roll wholesale. You could look through several rolls and not find
a nice clean unmarked example but you'd probably spend weeks finding the rolls to look
through since it's a tough one. You could look through eight or ten mint sets to find one
of this quality but it's a $10 mint set.

I'll bet he gets his asking price and then some.

I'd use it as bridge fare!

A '91-D half in MS-64 may not be a great coin but it's an $11 coin and worth much more than bridge fare.

Don't need that one but I know a few of us would be all over it big time. If it where a MS67 and in a PCGS holder.

  • They were expecting a higher grade I'm sure, but the 91D is a hard coin to make or get in 66 or 67, just looks like he gambled and come up way short. Added after looking harder with the big hits on the shield I now have no idea what they were hoping for. But that is 64 coin in any holder and thats on a good day.

  • I hate how hindsight is 20/20.

In 1992 I was just starting out going after Kennedy halves and kept going to the bank to get them. The bank I kept going to must have had a whole bag of 91-D halves. I went through over 400 91-Ds many of them nicer than this one in the auction. How many did I keep? One roll all better than this one.

Why didn't I keep more than one roll? I was poor then and keeping $10 seemed foolish.

Now I go through halves keep the really nice ones. Maybe someday they'll go up too.
Some call it an accumulation not a collection
