Do you think these are artificially toned?

I haven't gotten any coins in a while, so I wanted some input before pulling the trigger here. I don't want to be rash image

    For what its worth, I have several Washington's that have the obverse with the same golden color. The reverse on the coins in this auction seem to be much more dramatically toned. These coins are not very old and I think I would be hesitant about them.

    Probably not much help but just some thoughts....

    Do you think these are artificially toned?

    Here's a quick and fun experiment. Go grab a couple of state quarters and toss them in a frying pan on your stove. Turn the heat all the way up and give it about 30 seconds. Produces the same toning that the coins in that auction exhibit.

    No doubt in my mind that they are NT image

    Those coins are too new to have NT that extensive. If you need to own toned quarters, go buy them already in holders.
    I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

    Didn't work for me...left in skillet for 1 minute.. maybe I should add Mrs. Dash? image
