1910 Lincoln rotated die.

I just won a 1910 Lincoln with a 90 degree rotated die. It is a PCGS MS64RD. According to rotateddies.com it is an R7 (4-12 known). Could this one be the finest example known?
It was unatributed on ebay. I bought it mostly for my registry set, but the rotated die is a cool addition. What do you guys think? I think I got a great deal on this one.

How do you know the seller just didn't shoot it sideways?

    I hope you're right, FWIW...Mike

    Looks like a nice catch!

Even without the rotation, it's a nice coin.

Wouldn't PCGS have "Rotated Die" on the label?

  • Is it possible it was slabbed before they put things like on the labels?

I think it would have to be graded under the rrors category. I dont think errors are allowed in the registry so maybe the person sending it in didnt want it on the label?

This thread goes to show how a well placed question on an ambiguous item can result in an addition to your collection for a very nice price.

    Again, well done!...Mike
