Assuming you had a girl friend, what coin do you give her for christmas?

45 years ago I made my new wife a jangly bracelet with quarter-size coins from the 10 countries I had been in at the time. I was really proud of it. Come to think of it, I haven't seen that sucker in 44 years. Still have the wife though.

My wife only wants coins that spend. She thinks collecting coins is ridiculous as do most women.

Way, way, way back when I was young and had girl friend(s), I gave my favorite a 3 pen holder made with clear plastic that contained 3 new dimes and 6 new Lincoln Cents. I don't remember the meaning or the quantity and denominations of those coins but I've heard she still has that after all these years. And that is after I was married and she was married, I had kids and so did she and have not seen each other for about 40 years. At that time she was a secretary and kept it on her desk until she left that company. At my age, if I had a girl friend, I wouldn't be thinking of giving her a coin. I'd just be happy to be alive with a girl friend.
So to sum it up, giving a coin to a girl friend is purly dependant on your age, her age, her interest in coins, your future with her, what she would rather have, what you can afford, whatever made you think of giving a girl a coin that is not for spending and just lots and lots of other stuff.
