Does this Lincoln look AT?

Looks AT to me. Just thought I would get other opinions. With all of those other blue/purple coins on Teletrade lately you never know.

It's close, but I think it's a little too blue.

Its too uniform of a blue on the obverse for me to call it NT.

I can't put my finger on it, but the coin actually appears to be NT.

    Yes
  • I believe your coin is NT. I myself have two 1970ish memorials that I took out of aftermarket mint set holders that look just like that. The toning on mine as well as yours as it appears from your photos looks like the toning is every bit a part of the metal of the coin and it appears natural.

Nice looking coin by the way.

Morris, The same eBay Seller is offering this. And this.

I believe it makes the Lincoln in question highly suspect. Don't you?

  • My vote is NT, seen the like before. Not sure why anyone would go the trouble to alter a 1971d cent.

It's the reason I don't like any toning. Seems there is always suspicion surrounding toned coins. And with the cost, even economy at $18 for grade/slab, it just doesn't seem worth dealing with when even some of you whom I have a great deal of admiration for because of your in-depth knowledge cannot really determine NT/AT with 100% certainty.

It looks to me like Abe suffocated , but I know he got assassinated, so it must be AT .... good reasoning, eh ?
