T.O Brawls with Hugh Douglas

Hugh Douglas isn't on the Eagles, and it's not like Hugh is an angel, either.

The Eagles should trade him now, get some value for him...I'd suspect every other team in the NFL would take him right now.

I would imagine there are many teams who could use his talent.

The shame is that owners should act like "leaders" and "bosses" and not hire someone like this.

I could not imagine having anyone disrupt my workplace in a similar fashion.

Now...I know this is sports and different and all that - I'm just tired of this kind of stuff.

Never has so much gone to so few.

And, some NBA players, in order to meet the dress code, believe owners should give them extra $?
I don't pay for my employees dress and they make a hell of a lot less!

OK - my rant for Sun eve.

  • Axtell, you are correct. For some reason i think of him as still an Eagle player

I edited the title of post-thanks for the headsup

Two teams wanted him last season. Two teams.

What TO has done to his future value as an Eagle is 10X worse than his value as a 49er.

2 teams that were made public...but I can't think of many teams that wouldn't be infinitely better with TO on the roster.

It's too bad he didn't stay with the Ravens. I'd of liked to see Ray Lewis deal with his tantrums. That would of made for good media.

huh? please explain, as I have not heard that - EVER

    My thoughts on TO are:

    1) he needs serious, professional psychiatric help. These recent events are way beyond end zone celebrations
    2) he wishes he were a quarterback. Just ask Young, Garcia, and McNabb.

Oh yeah, he would be a great fit on the Patriots!! Belechick would love to put up with TO's crap, and I am sure Kraft would pay him handsomely!! image

Bellicheck wouldn't put up with that crap...Reid obviously can't control his team or his players, and it shows. TO needs to be on a team with a vocal leader both at QB and head coach, neither McNabb or Reid are that guy.

Owens is a punk. No one will be able to control him.

What do I know about Hugh Douglas personally? I don't know the man, but the overall impression I get from the man is that he's no angel is all.

And let's not forget, it was Hugh who instigated the fight by (a) being in the gym of a team he doesn't belong to and (b) yelling out loud enough for everyone to hear words to the effect of 'there are people in here who aren't as injured as they claim to be.

TO was not solely at fault here.

Hugh Douglas is taking the fifth. Who the heck is he anyway if you are not an Eagles fan. This is not the turning point. I agree with Axtell on the lack of stregnth by the coach and the other leaders on the team. TO ran roughshod on the entire organization, and nobody on the frontline or in the trenches had the stones to stop him. That is what was needed. IMO, regards.

  • Hugh Douglas was the guy who cheap-shotted the Bears QB Jim Miller in the playoffs a couple of years ago.

Miller threw an interception and 25-30 yards away from the ball Douglas picked him up and planted him in the ground, separating his shoulder. Miller was out for the rest of the game, the Bears lost and Douglas was later fined.

No, he is no angel either.
  • I've said it before and I'll say it again, TO is a victim.
