This is a record price paid for a 1973-S Ike PCGS MS68.

Impossible to tell if this coin has upgrade potential, as the pic is good, but not great, and no reverse photo.

What did I miss???

Spectacular quality MS68's (which I have many of) I couldn't see quoting more than $300!! Nice quality coins are under $150 all day long!

P.S. Ebay seller is a board member and looks like he went out of his way to reveal the actual (high) pop of the coin in MS68 as part of the auction description.

That is amazing. There is no way a person could tell if the coin has a shot at 69 from that pic, but at that price, the buyer is going to take a bath if the coin doesn't make 69. Nice 68's sell for a small fraction of that price on Teletrade. I hope the price is "throw away" money for the top bidder, because in my opinion that is what he/she just did.
