I'd go McNabb over Eli in most weeks, including this one. Eli threw all over Denver in the 4th Quarter last week, so McNabb should be able to do the same. I'm assuming you mean Jerry Porter. He's been a big disappointment this year, but I'm not sure if Amani Toomer is much better...

Two pretty good defenses, so I'd agree with gosteelers and go with the proven QB. Toomer picked up a little of late, but every time I put him in my lineup he does nothing so I'd go Porter.

A real bucs fan would never have McNabb on his team.

    Kevin,

Looks like you've got one of the problems where, if you're anything like me, you'll play the wrong one.

I'll go the other way and say Eli this week.

    He's hot, he's 100% healthy, and he's at home.

McNabb is not healthy and on the road.

Washington giving up 17 points a game, Denver giving up 18 points a game. So that's no help. I'd go with Eli. You might find your Sunday more enjoyable rooting against Philly anyway.

But like I said, as soon as I'd do this, McNabb will go for 320 and 4 scores.

    Shawn.

I am debating the same thing - McNabb or Brunell ....

    In your situation, go w/McNabb

    Fitzgerald all the way.

Take Porter over Toomer, he's due to breakout and I think that game will have a ton of scoring, plus Toomer only has 3 TD's in the last 2 years (I think??)

I'd take Mcnabb over Eli since the Bronco's will stop Phil all day on the ground, they will have to air it out.

    Best of Luck!
  • Eli will put up much better numbers than McNabb. Denver is brutal at home and Philadelphia has no running game.

it funny..the yahoo guys described Porter as ...quietly sucking..LOL

My WR's are a mess Im betting on Eli to Toomer this week!

I don't know what the question is??? Is your gut telling your to start McNabb? Your icon would suggest so........so do it. That's who you wanna root for.

Because if you're looking at numbers, there should be no question. McNabb is obviously in some pain and has thrown ONE touchdown in his last two games. Brunell has throw SIX in his last two, and plays this week against the 31rst ranked defense.

Fantasy doesn't always seem to make sense and often bites you, but the only to do it is look at the matchups and see who is playing better. Whether it works for you this week or not, who knows.

    Best of luck.

Agreed ... and thanks for the response

Fantasy football success should not be tied into an allegiance to your team, and I never let my heart take over. Both QB's are playing questionable D's, but there is always the "X" factor to consider.

At this point, Brunell is in the starting lineup.

Well I'm sure you'll be watching the Philly game so I always start who can I watch makes it more fun. You would think the Redskins would be able to run the ball in their game so Brunell may not put up huge numbers, but the Eagles are always going to be passing. I'm sure you drafted McNabb high and I couldn't justify benching one of my top picks unless he was hurt.

Doesn't matter where you drafted 'em. They are what they are.

I'd say Eli & Toomer. Stick a fork in Porter now that Gabriel is healthy - he's a beast.

You drafted them high because they are studs (I'm talking first 2 rounds) if they are healthy they play.

Nice game by Porter today... not a good day for Brunell.

Yeah, as usual, logic is out the door.

McNabb got the nod ... bittersweet, as the Eagles will lose the game

Check out who I didn't play:

    McNad..22 points
    Porter..20 points
    Bell....22 points

Why is Denver ALWAYS loaded at RB?

  • I had to choose between McNabb and Plummer. Guess which one I chose image
