Actually P.T. Barnum was a very moral and honest person. At one point in his life he went bust, but he eventually paid all of his creditors. The guy was really great at marketing, and true Americans can hardly complain about that.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

The 51-P: MS-64 - 366 MS-65 - 129 MS-66 - 15 and none graded higher.
The highest pop of any of the C/W's is the 52-P with an MS-65 pop of 802 at a cost of around 50 bucks. Compare that to any other early commem with the same population in MS-65.

Come to think of it, I think the most offensive looking commems are the Alabama, Oregon, Gettysburg, and Antietam. Any of the aforementioned should be sent to me immediately to rid this hobby of such eye-sores.
My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)
