ok, ive seen the kicked in the nuts thing before, and my opinion is that its a WORK.. no way that guy gets away with that stuff without being severely beaten or shot..
It's most definitely a work - no question about it. The guys recover too quickly, and shake the clown's hand...that would never happen (at least with me it wouldn't)...
pan, One day, you'll say something to the wrong person at the wrong time, and you'll get popped in the mouth. Keyboard warrior, no not me. I was commenting on your statement that you like telling them to there face. I was stating to you, that if you wish ,you can come and say what you like to my face. Maybe I'll have the pleasure sometime to meet you at a show and you can do just that. Only I think you'll just keep your mouth shut, like most cowards. The only keyboard warrior here is you. You can continue to call me, or 5stat or others all the names you wish. I've been called names before, it doesnt hurt.

damn, i was wrong, your keyboard is a BADASS!
ive said the wrong thing to alot of people many times, ive been "popped" in the mouth too many times to remember, it's kinda fun.. but bail money and dental implants are expensive..
Personally, I can't wait to meet PA in person, if only to see him dance.
OK I admit, maybe to also crack him in the grill a few times. But not very hard.
On an unrelated note, maybe we can turn this thread into something relevant, since it'll now be bumped and everyone will view it again...
Stingray, noticed you're now collecting 1984 Topps BB in PSA 9 or better. I think that's very interesting...
First off, I'm sure you love the set. We all have sets we love, and I certainly wouldn't ask anyone to defend what they love - that's what collecting is all about. But I think it's interesting because it's such an easy set, and it seems like you've given in (which again, isn't a bad thing, but I'm curious about why) to the PSA marketing. Namely, you're exactly the kind of collector the love - you want graded cards solely for the purpose of having graded cards.
Here's what I mean - why exactly do you want the 84 Topps set in PSA 9 or better i.e. why do you want to spend the money on grading (or pay extra for graded cards)? What is the purpose for grading? Seems to me, you could very easily go out and buy 3-4 complete factory sets for under $100, and basically assemble a complete beautiful GEM MINT set of raw cards. What is the appeal of having graded cards (asking everyone, not just you)? Believe me, I'm guilty of it too, as I've started assembling modern PSA 9 & 10 Red Sox cards, even though I already probably have every card raw sitting in my closet in similar conditions that I'm now paying for graded. They look nicer, they're easier to store, the registry is fun etc are all common (and valid) answers. But is that really how we justify the added costs? Seems like we're all just suckers. For older stuff, I appreciate the value of authentication that comes with grading, and also the scarcity of high grades. But for the modern stuff, I just don't get it. And I do it. But I don't get it.
I know I am. To prove my point to myself, I'm now staring at two beautiful mint 1980 Topps Fred Lynn cards. Both perfectly flawless, seriously. They're from two complete sets I have, one assembled in 1980, and one purchased a few years ago.
And yet for some reason a few weeks ago I paid close to $100 to get another of the exact same card, just because it's in a plastic holder stamped "PSA 10" on it, and I guess because it fits nicely in my roop box.
It is many factors I guess, I know I can easily go out and buy a complete set in a box for $20-$25 at a show, but were is the challenge in that? I know that 84s are not really investment quality cards, even graded, but I can afford them a lot eaier than 75s or 78s. I guess I figure I can collect the 84s and have a better chance of moving on up the registery list for this set than the others I collect. There is at least some realistic chance of being #1. I know for 75s and 78s, just to complete them will be a task, but I figure why not at least try to be #1 in one category? Plus there are a lot of sentimental reasons for collecting 84s for me. For some reason, the cards I buy look better in that little plastic holder. Just a sucker? I guess, but heck if I didn't collect PSA graded cards I would not get to listen to everyone taking shots at eachother.
I'm definitely a sucker for PSA graded cards. I mean, I love to thumb through a stack of cards in cardsavers or to flip the next page of a beautiful full set in a binder. But, for some reason, there's a nice look and a different feeling to having that same card in a holder like that. I mean, even a common player becomes 'special' when a PSA 10 is slapped on it. Hell, the whole set registry is filled with suckers like us. If not, you'd have nothing but player sets of the Hall of Famers and not one set listing.

Big, Hes compensating for what his father didnt give him , 2 of them in fact. He always resorts to name calling, like most cowards do. One day I'll meet up with him to discuss his childish behavior. I do wish I knew who he was, maybe someone will let me know.
