GO MARLINS! Home of the best fans in baseball!!
<< <i>Classy thread, guys! I expect nothing less, however.
>>
It's funny, the yankee 'fans' bash those who hate the yankees, but they are more than willing to jump all over the red sox at any opportunity.
Hypocrites, much?

Well then don't call out people for bashing the Yankees.
If it goes one way, it has to go the other.

You can bash the Yankees all you like .

Don't think all Yankees fans are like that. You wouldn't catch me on my worst day "celebrating" like Gemmy & Co. The White Sox did everything right. Congrats to them. It looks like they'll be in the WS with the Cards since the Yankees can't fight their way out of a paper bag right now.

First classy Yanks fan I've seen on here (besides softparade). Congrats, you're a rare breed

I wouldn't call softparade a 'classy' fan, he's as big a loudmouth as spammy or anyone else...he thinks that someone hates the yankees somehow hates all of NY and was happy 9.11 happened.
He thinks that teams that aren't fortunate enough to be in a huge media market like NY and aren't able to spend hundreds of millions on payroll should be contracted from MLB and somehow they aren't worthy.
He's a yankee elitist just like those you mentioned.

Some people (me) don't post much because 99% of the threads are an embarrassment. Use your deductive skills to figure that one out.
P.S. - I just figured out why you guys love it when the Yankees lose ...................... Gemmy disappears

It's true
<< <i>... You hate NY so much, I bet you smiled on Sept 11, 2001....

But, that is par for the course - there are more bandwagon Yankee fans than perhaps for any other team in sports. But, I see many of them jumping off already...
<<gotta love the yankee fans who just started letting the boards know they are yankee fans the past few days>>
You can't put me in that bucket.

I didn't even see those posts...wow, softparade really is delusional.
For him to imply my dislike of NY sports and east coast bias would mean I enjoyed 9.11 is just stupidly scary.
Anyone who does not like the Yankees must be a commie pinko b-$t@-d.
Ax, change your name to Abu Axtell Asalaama and you'll get on that watch list.
Anyhow, I'm glad the Sox are gone too. I've had enough of hearing how a DH should be MVP. I'm sick
of the Sox and The Big Poopi, Rameriez, Schilling, and the rest. Heck I'm so glad Pedro is gone as I could
only take so much of him shaking his head on Rameriez. I can't believe I went in one year's time being
happy to see them win to being sick of them too. It must be ESPN....
I guess I don't care one way or another if the Yanks win so that must mean I like them a tad since I
despised them too in the past. I'm sure if they win I'll get sick of that team again.
For me not much to rout for in the baseball playoffs...alot to rout against:
The Cardinals (Rolen)....The Braves (14 straight).... Houston (The Juicin' Rocket)....The Padres (.500 avg
pathetic team)...
FIRE ED WADE PHILLIES.... for goodness sake....!!!!!
GO EAGLES!!!
aconte
You can't rely of Papi and Manny all the time. Tek never came out of his slump. Pitching was horrid, save Papelbon and Wells. Also, the White Sox picked the right time of the year to turn it on (just before they almost squadered the division)!!
Time to move on to the semi-struggling Patriots!

There are some franchises that were a big mistake. Tampa, Florida to name the top two. MLB needs to trim its fat.

Yeah let's get rid of a team that's won 2 world series...and leave florida with out baseball representation. That makes a lot of sense.

Axtells hatred for everything NY transcends the sports world. Very evident in his past comments about New Yorkers in general.

Get a clue, get a grip, I don't hate new yorkers...I despise a majority of yankee fans because they are front-running bandwagon riders whose only loyalty to the yankees comes from the fact the yankees have won more world series than any other team, that the yankees spend more than anyone else, and the eltist arrogance of the yankee fans who think that other teams are somehow second class franchises because they don't have the means to spend $200 million on their team.
I'll say it again.
Seek therapy. Immediately. Get this hate and bitterness you obviously have for those who aren't yankee followers out of your system, as it's clouding your thinking to the point where you think that those who don't like NY sports are terrorists and applauded when 9.11 happened.

Nope, I'm not back tracking. It is a fact that many more American citizens than anyone would care to stomach found some satisfaction in what happened. DirtyHarry, very perceptive. Getting rid of Pedro and Lowe were major blunders.

Getting rid of 2 of their starters and they still had the same record as the yankees, who spent $80 million more overall and who spent $85 million on pitching alone.
I'd say the yankees win the battle of 'bad moves'.
DirtyHarry, what did you expect? He has a Gemmy10 magnet inside his (num)skull. LOL
<< <i>O'Axtell. They lost. Maybe they could have won with Martinez and Lowe. That's the only point. You have a problem. >>
No, the point being that any yankee fan trying to say the red sox made a bad move in releasing those pitchers is just ironic, that's all. Ironic, too, that the yankees spent how many more millions of dollars, and how many more millions on their PITCHING payroll, only to finish with the same record as the red sox who supposedly made bad moves?
And who's to say Martinez would even have been available for the post-season? Remember, he hung it up for year early.
