As we all know, these are magnificent coins and worthy of every WOW, Awesome, Spectactular, etc.
But I am not a huge fan of these "TrueView" images. Coins just do not look like the images that PCGS is providing. Most of what I've seen of these "TrueView" images remind me more of CartoonView™. The colors are just too animated in my opinion.

I agree. I was fortunate to have seen the MS Legend Seated Dollar set at the Pittsburgh ANA, and it is probably the coolest set of anything I have ever seen.

I have contemplated sending some circulated gold coins to be photographed, just to see how turn out. I expect that they will be realistic--it is hard to flatter a circulated gold coin.

With one exception, these coins look EXACTLY like the images. The 1855 is a bit darker toned - it's got a lot of light on it to bring out the color. The rest are 100% accurate to the coin.
what a beautiful set. are the coins as bright "in hand" as the photos suggest?? i have a hard time imagining how those coins stayed so clean for so long, the fields are just immaculate.

Don't have them yet - they emailed me this first group and I was so tickled pink with the results that I figured I'd give some free advertising!

Is CartoonView™ another name for MartyVision™?
<< <i>Is CartoonView™ another name for MartyVision™?
No, MartyVision™ is one of a kind and requires purple bubble wrap better known as MartyWrap™.
