Nice "British invasion". BS is DA MAN when it comes to Brit coins on the forums. One of the most droolworthy collections I have seen in a long time. I'm honored to own a few castoffs from it.
Nice attempt at a US recovery, too, NHSB, but I'm a Darksider at heart and you'll have to do better than that.
Let's see how long the Brits can stand. Probably not long, particularly as we are still in Morgan dollar territory, datewise. I hope whoever puts the ball back in the US court does so with something other than a Morgan. Maybe something proof and Seated, or some gold.
Nice try, but if you want to claim UNO back for the good ol' USA, you had better play another date really fast after your 1901, because I have a whole collection of 1901 British Empire coins I am assembling for my daughter Victoria!
We're definitely playin' to your strong suit, now, Lee.
I have a 1931 Merc dime I dug as a part of a small silver hoard I found while detecting, but I'll be nice and let the Lincolnites enjoy the spotlight for a little while.
But you'll have to look at some "extra crusty" ones.
(OK, so that's a TINY bit of a cheat, if one considers War nickels a different type than a regular Jefferson. But for the purposes of Coin UNO, I say close enough.)
Hmm... I went back in to my detecting album to look for the 1937-D Walker I dug (my first dug Walker, and one of only two I've found so far).
But it appears I have not gotten that far in uploading the pictures (an ongoing project), so here is another dug coin from the many.
We go to Roosevelt dimes.
Many of my dug coins that I found 10-12 years ago and cleaned when they came out of the dirt (sometimes with toothpaste) have acquired some nice secondary toning after a decade or so in my "dug keepers" album.
I just uploaded the silver one so I had another one to go to. As long as you keep it for a few days it stays in the avatar inventory. Just be sure to remember the name.
Wow, that one was tough because of the toning. I couldn't see the 4 in the date so well, and would have sworn it was a "1915" if I hadn't known better! (You had me wondering if there was a 1915 Walker pattern for a moment, there! LOL).
It's the only Washington Quarter I have imaged on Photobucket!

1887 or Great Britain to the next player.
Next play is any 1925, or any Great Britain.
This 1901 florin is one of the castoffs from Brett ("BS") that I mentioned being proud to own. Ex-NGC 65.
hey Rob, good to see ya ... back to the Americans
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”

Here's that florin's bigger, whiter sister.
Great Britain or 1901, again!
Here's just a plain ol' "cartwheel".
Great Britain or 1797 to the next UNO player.
Darkside!!
Mexico or 1797.....
(or, Spain.......... however you decide to call it)
Rick
I borrowed this from jom on another thread of Jay's. Is this considered PLAGIARISM ?
1910 or $10 Indian---
-Randy Newman
1910 or Matte Proof Lincoln
Not bad for somethin' that cost me three to five cents, out of a bulk bag of Wheaties, eh?
1914 or Lincoln Cent (WHEAT cent, to be totally accurate)
Gee Rob, that 14-D was one sweet find for you.
This one's coming home soon in a MS64RB wrapper.

Nice 1911. That was my grandmother's birthyear. (Same grandmother that got mentioned in the recent "OPERATION STONE HOLEY" thread).
1930 or Wheat cent, to the next player.
1909 S VDB PCGS MS66RD
next, wheat lincoln or Brenner Plaque !!

That's 1917 or Lincoln cent, to the next player.
(That's a 1919-S.)
1919 or Wheatie to the next player!
1909 or Lincoln cent, to the next player. That's it for me. No more dug uglies, I promise.
Though it's the ugliest of the lot, we'll go with the bottom coin.
1941 or Jefferson nickel!
(OK, so that's a TINY bit of a cheat, if one considers War nickels a different type than a regular Jefferson. But for the purposes of Coin UNO, I say close enough.)
1945 or War nickel (or any Jefferson)!
Rick
1946 or Walker---
-Randy Newman

Washington Quarter or 1948.
So post my birthyear or maybe a 50s Proof Washie, please.

Watch this sneaky Darkside shift, using only coins I have found with a metal detector...
I'll see your Washington quarter, with a 1944.
And play on 1944 with a Mexico 5-centavo piece that was my very first find, back in 1992, in my own front yard.
Then we'll play on Mexico with a 1787 Spanish colonial Mexico half-real I dug.
1787, Spain, or Mexico, to the next player!
Here ya go!
