Andruw Jones

Since nobody here has bought this up! I tip my cap to him 50 hr's and climbing 300 for his career. I dont think i heard that mentioned one time on sportscenter or on espn.com they didnt make a big deal of it?

This kid is only 28 he might put up some amazing numbers and his glove is the best i have ever seen.

He will, and Pujols will (again) finish second. I thought for sure Pujols would win it with Bonds out...but there's no denying that Andruw has strapped his team to his back and single-handedly carried them to the playoffs, with essentially no lineup support.

Uh, wait a minute - I mentioned Jones should be MVP months ago, in a thread where we were all throwing MVP candidates around. He is having an amazing career year, and has carried the Braves on his back offensively.

Bobby Cox has also done his best managing in his career this year. Gotta tip your hat to him.

ctoxfan i wasnt talking about the MVP.. just the fact about the 50 hr's and 300 for career at 28 years old. i think this kid isnt getting the respect he deserves? maybe bc his batting avg low and he k's a lot?

Kuhlmann - you are probably right about that. I am not sure why no one gives him his due, but maybe because he seems to have a rep as an underachiever for most of his career. Now, he should be able to get rid of that label!

Congrats to Andruw and milestones. He's having a great especially after the horrible start. Pujols will still be the MVP.

    MVP.

Pujols is great, but so are the Cardinal. With all of the injuries to the Braves this season, Andruw Jones has kept them alive ... that and Bobby Cox, who I will admit is the best manager in baseball.
