You can't go by the number of cards graded, due to the possibility of cards being cracked-out and re-subbed.
  • Still don't have a Dawson

I've been told that he hoards them himself.

In case you’re wondering, there have been 92 auctions of Andre Dawson since November 2004. The last raw Dawson sold for $29.08 and the last PSA 9 went for $37.

    Phil,

Are those numbers Completed (Sold) or just listed Auctions and does this number include "Buy It Now's"?

I'm like 9 Cards away from completing 3 Sets with about 150 to sell and about 150 to get reviewed. One in PSA 8, PSA 9 & a PSA 9/10 Master Set. I really want to complete this year.

For the Record out of the roughly 900-1000 1993 Refractors I own, probably around 60% -70% came in off Ebay transactions with several people.

    Thanks,

    Hi John,
The data is for completed auctions. I only recently started to capture BIN or Best Offers that were accepted. If the card does not sell, I do not capture the data. Can you please put up for auction a PSA 9 of Bernie Williams. You will make my friend very happy.

Happy to bring it back! Had reservations about consigning them. But a major auction is coming up this month and I need funds.

Sad to see such rare cards go! Hopefully the new owner enjoys them!

But this is a good one...

I think Phil died recently and his family listed thousands of his high dollar cards through pwcc.
100s of 93 refractors in multiple lots. We’ll never see that again

I saw that recently with TONS of refractors listing. Didn't know Phil had passed and it was from his estate. As a huge 93 Finest fan, I found this thread really awesome to read through!

My obsession with 93 Finest was getting all 5 Nolan Ryan variations. At one point I had a PSA9 green AS refractor, PSA10 base/jumbo/promo and then the PSA8 Promo refractor. But once I really started working on the NR Topps master set, and saw 93 Finest wasn't on it, I sold off my Finest stuff little by little.

Most of the best players were not included in the PWCC lots. Wonder if the estate consigned those to an auction house. Rest In Peace. I hope the family enjoys whatever they do with the proceeds. He certainly had vision to buy these up and saw that these cards would be thought of as hobby cornerstones at a time when some thought the refractors would not hold their price.
