Amazing Statistic

I read today that since he took over as starter in 2001, Tom Brady has a .775 winning percentage which is the best in history. Number 2? Joe Montana at .715.

I think the guy, even with his super bowl wins and super bowl MVPs, is arguably one of the most overlooked players in the game because he's not a stat monster in this fantasy football obssessed era.

Anyone else think the same way? I mean Peyton gets a ton of press because of his huge numbers, but when it comes down to it, who would you rather have in a must-win situation?

Madden compared him to Montana all last night during the game. Brady isn't a "household name" yet like Montana is, but if he keeps this up he will be.

I agree he doesn't get enough respect. A lot of people simply don't like him because of the success the Pats have had. Some think it more of just a great team then him being great, but other qb greats like Montana and Aikman also had great teams and no one questions them. He also gets overlooked because he doesn't put up Manning numbers but the guy is a winner and deserves all the credit he gets.

Is there a better coach / QB combination in football today, than Brady / Belichick?

No one is even close. One other thing about Brady, is that he seems to have things still in proper perspective. He isn't an arrogant jerk (like, say Terrell Owens), and in interviews, he always seems to include his teammates as a reason for his success. It's nice to see him succeed, and I'm sure we haven't seen the end of it.
