I stopped reading all the posts about half-way through so this may have already been mentioned.

If it was just the first step of this process, they accidently sold a coin they had listed on ebay, then I would say that it's a mistake and let it go. But after receiving money and letting it sit for a week without comment, then the lies about the coin has shipped, etc. THat is much more deliberate and outside of the realm of "a mistake".

Superior should have taken the high road and just bought another coin and made the whole thing go away.

I have only had one transaction with Superior and that's all that I will ever have. I did get my coin, but got anything but customer service when I called or sent emails.

  • That was an exceptionally speedy response.

    You're much too kind.

BTW, who said you're supposed to lurk for a while?

    I said that.

  • Can someone start a new condensed version of this thread so I can figure out what happened without reading for hours. mike

Why start a new thread? Here is the short version, by request, going out to Mike:

    Yinz? Who says yinz?

    Oh wait... I do!

This is how it gets to 500.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • It is odd that the most posts seem to be on threads of this nature, especially when an attorney is involved. That seems to create a feeding frenzy!

Yeah, you were loads of fun. BTW, How's ol' what's-her-name?

    That's her name

Not someone I will ever buy from. You had some utility before; buy smoething from smoe scumbag and help me bolster my list of miscreants.

Just kidding. Pleeeeze don't buy anything like that again... On behalf of the forum.

  • How is that there is a stiffy and a stimmy that I have virtually never seen before here, yet they probably together contributed 50 posts to this thread?

    I don't know stimmy.

Nice to meet you stimmy. How do you do?

    Thanks for the introduction. image

    How's come?
  • Is it true that people around Baltimore like to have a piece of Bologna with their Hot Dogs?

No, that's Floridians. They put cole slaw and chili on their dogs. Its good, too.

Picksburghers put fries and slaw on sammiches.

Baltimorons put deviled crabs on hotdogs.

And the vendors take coins. US coins, to be on topic, err, to be precise...

Oh no, I see dead people. Crispy toasted crunchy people.

Hey, what's up in Cinci and their unique way of enjoying chili?

    “Cincinnati-style” chili

Well, I only read through page 10.

Superior certainly isn't living up to its name. Whatever happened to one's word? Whatever happened to contract law? Whatever happened to the old adage, "the customer is always right"?

    What's up in CLEARFIELD, Pa.?

Can a person die from eating too much? If a person died trying to eat a 15 pound hamburger, could murder charges be brought? Anyone?

Ah, Beepy! What's the call here guy?

Won't see that type of attitude ( Honor, Contract, word, customer is even smoetimes right sort of) from smoe dealers on this thread, as well.

This is clearly bad business on the part of Superior Galleries. In the worst case they may even be forced out of the Coin biz.

If so, then maybe the Restaurant Biz would be better for them. They could continue to serve people and perhaps be a little better at it than they were with the Coin Biz.

If they had a numismatic theme maybe it could be a booming success for them.

    First Menu suggestion

    1. The MS70 B.S. (Beefy Special) Surprise- a beefy Big Beef Hot Dog served "Baltimore Style" all in a warm toasted Bun.

    What you get?

Smells good but what exactly is it? You get it and you notice there's balony all rolled up in the bun. Peeling back the balony you see there is indeed B.S. inside but it ain't beefy and it ain't special, Bend Over Baby cause you just got the MS70 B.S. Special Surprise.

  • b]Can a person die from eating too much? If a person died trying to eat a 15 pound hamburger, could murder charges be brought? Anyone?

If you hold a gun to his head and make him eat it, yes. If it was voluntary, I doubt it.

A 15 pound burger for under 40 bucks? Wow. And some 100 lb college woman was the only succeful person to eat the 6 pounder.

    Amazing. Thank you.

Brought to you by the Food Thread.

No no, it is really quite good. Try smoe over spaghetti... or as they say: sketti... or psketti in smoe of those towns in Ahia.
  • Go in any Subway and order a meatball sub. Ask for hot pepper, sweet pepers, lettuce, tomato, whatever you like. I do it all the time.

If they balk, just tell them the other stores do it.

If you had actually bothered to read the thread (rather than skip to the end and spout off your mouth) you would have seen a very conciliatory "apology" post by Bleepy.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

So, you said that CU had restricted this account and that was why you used an "unused" account from June 2004, right?
Hmmmmmmm.......alt-ID that was made quite early.....when was it you had all the forum trouble anyway? Around June 2005?

Yep, it may have been because of my threads " What exactly is PCGS's AUTHENTICITY guaranty?" or "A question for HomeRunHall/PCGS" or my similar comments on another person's (bleeped) thread about alleged "inside grading".

I appreciate the efforts of many board members who suported my reinstatement.

Sure. Both of them. Your alt-IDs.
  • Down in Miami, they have these street vendors who have shrimp as big as your fist. They grill it and slap one big shrimp on a hunk of bread, a dollop of hot sauce, and another hunk of bread.

    That is smoe sandwich.
