Found a great new kind of storage box

I was at my comic shop last week and noticed they had a new kind of comic box designed for storage of manga comics, which aren't like American comics, more like slightly oversized paperback books. This box was about 15 inches long, a foot high and a foot wide, with a divider built into the middle. It looked like slabs would fit right into the sections and sure enough they do. Each half is a little over 5.25" wide, so a PSA slab fits perfectly snugly into it. BGS slabs are a little shorter, GAI is about a mm bigger but should be OK and I don't have any SGC slabs. I could fit 64 PSA slabs laying on edge in one section with no wiggle room, so leaving a little space you should be able to put 240 PSA slabs in a box, putting a layer of cardboard or something on top of the bottom layer. If you stack them vertically you can fit even more, I figure about 260 or so, though that leaves about a 2 inch gap with 3 stacks of cards. It's deep enough to put tall-boys in standing up, but I don't have any super-size slabs so I don't know about that. The box has cutouts for handles and a separate lid. It's easy to carry a full box and seems like it was perfectly designed for this application. Check it out. If you don't have a comic shop or they can't/won't order them for you, check out Austin Books and Brad should be able to hook you up. He sells them for $4.49.

I've been using the "Graded Card Box" that my local card shop sells. I don't remember the exact number of PSA graded slabs one holds, but it's about a half inch taller than the holders, separated down the middle (2 rows) and sells for $2. No handles though.
I like the looks of the MJ Roop ones, but they email me all the time and just stole my email addy off these boards, so I haven't patronized them.
Anyway, thanks for posting about these.
