I always enjoy seeing what folks get back from PSA, especially when they are running a cheap special, so...

Please post your updates, results, scans here. Early days, so I can't imagine anyone has their results back yet, but let us know what you're sending in!

I sent my submission in the mail on Friday, 27 cards for my 1981 Topps hockey set, the results of a 2-box vending break I've been working on. I'm hoping for mostly 9's, but this is my first submission of this type, so I don't entirely know what to expect. It took a lot of work to put a thousand cards under the loupe, but I hope I'm on the right track. Wish me luck!

Grades are in! Very nice turnaround time. The results are pretty much what I expected, except for the OC qualifier and the 5 (?... must have missed a surface wrinkle... will have to crack and investigate once I get them back). Overall I'm pretty happy

As a side note, it was interesting to see how well the East regional cards did vs. the West regionals and the DP's (1-66). In the vending boxes from that year, the DP's take the left 1/3rd of the box, the East in the middle and the West on the right. Maybe the East cards are better protected in the middle?

Here is my submission. You can see from the dates below the grades were posted in four days.
These are all cards that I had from my childhood collection so I have had all of them for at least 20 years.
I'm most surprised at the Mattingly grade, I had expected at least an 8.

I'm starting a 1978 set so I pulled the best ones from my raw set purchased as a kid in 1978. Now I'll have some guidelines to look at as I move forward with more submissions. I was hoping for a straight 9 on the Murray, but I guess that goes without saying.
The McGlothen 10 is the first in the population report, so that is a nice surprise as well.

As you can see, my cards survived my childhood in varied conditions, but it is nice to see them graded, even if they all didn't get top grades.
Now I call pull them out and enjoy them that much more.

Nice results tkd7. Especially from childhood cards 25 years old. I have about 400 cards from the 1974 Topps set and doubt there are too many PSA 8s in there. I will some day send a few in just for fun. Thanks for sharing.

The box arrived yesterday, and I'm mostly pleased, however, Typos continue to be an issue---- 2 of the 50 have misspells (Buechels/Buechele; Biitner/Biittner) and 3 of the traded cards have missing T's on the #s. Is 10% an acceptable error rate by PSA? We spend lots of time & $$$ at the customer end to get these precious cards graded... comments please-----

This has happened before. They will ask me to send them back at my cost. They will correct their errors and return at their cost and then about 2 months later after I've called them several times, they will send a complimentary grading coupon, not to be combined with anything else but 'regular' service, and then I will pay 2 way shipping to use the coupon on a card. If I'm lucky this time, since there are 5 errors, maybe they will grant me 5 coupons and make it worth my while? Yeah right. Sorry for the sarcasm... Tony

I just sent in an 80+ card submission under the special. (It was delivered today, hope to see the accepted email tonight or tomorrow). I also have a few set reg freebies and 2x 5 day submissions of 11 and 12 cards in as well. Will update when my grades are in. I sent in mostly stuff for my fb sets but also included some nice stuff I picked up along the way to help fund that fb registry addiction. Along with some hockey from 81/82 OPC and some other asst'd hockey. Stuff still seems to sell well.

turbos-yes, in fact I have some in the registry already. #2 set. I have the complete set but only graded some of the key cards. I'd be looking to move the whole set, they are all similar in condition. At least the ones I've looked at. Well, my grades haven't hit on my 84 Card submission on the special, but I did get my free grading done in 2 days. (Received it for 75% complete on the AT Receivers set) Nothing special... PSA 7 on a '72 Topps Charlie Joiner. but it's an upgrade from the 6 I had. I think this one is a 9OC but I asked for No Qualifiers. So until an 8 or 9 hits the bay, this one will do... I was impressed with the 2 day turnaround...yet again. Hopefully I'll have some better results on some nicer stuff in the next couple of days.
