Is it just me, or is this really a very, very entertaining show?

I find myself laughing out loud many times per episode.

What is it? I haven't heard about it.

    It's on ESPN.

They take old sporting events, like spelling bees, old time skate boarding contests, and pepper them with commentary.

If you ever saw mystery science theater 3k it's somewhat similar, but with less chatting by the hosts.

It's really hard to explain, but tremendously funny.

That does sound good, I'll have to check it out.
  • Some of the older episodes (Spelling Bee, ABC World Wide of SPorts, Dog Shows, etc.) are just too funny. But on some of the newer episodes, it appears the twins are trying too hard.

Here is a link for those who do not know about it.

    Remember these Chuck Norris Facts

    1. When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn't lifting himself up, he's pushing the Earth down
    2. According to Einstein's theory of relativity, Chuck Norris can actually roundhouse kick you yesterday
    3. There are no such things as lesbians, just women who have not yet met Chuck Norris

Funny show on average. Some very good, so not so... One they had on Putt-Putt championships was very funny.
    Enjoy your collection!

Good enough to be on, yet juvinile. You can produce anything if you have enough money behind you.
Proud of my 16x20 autographed and framed collection - all signed in person. Not big on modern - I'm stuck in the past!

I thought the Mexican cliff-diving episode was pretty funny.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.
  • I thought the show was going to be more of a nostalgia type show when they first advertised it. The Dan Patrick lead-in is classic, but I would rather watch some of the older goofy shows in thier completion rather than have all of the MST3000 comments. A few sprinkled in here and there arent bad, but 1 every 20 seconds gets a bit interrupting. Still a pretty good show............

I think it's hilarious. I love the episode with Al Michaels at the World Wrist Wrestling Championship.
  • I just recently discovered this show. It is very, very funny.

Last nights episode centered around the Superstars competition from Rotonda, FL. Joe Frazier was there and did so poorly they referred to it as the "Blunda in Rotonda". Funny stuff.

The superstars one was great...is that the one with the tug of war too?

  • No, but they are showing Superstars '78 tonight. Maybe it will be on there.
