Hockey, what is that?

No, I will not watch. Hockey was a sport on the fringe of losing popularity before the strike and will be almost nonexistent in the U.S. when it returns. As someone from Chicago, I prefer following the Chicago Wolves over the Loser Blackhawks any day.

At least I'm happy for the Tampa Bay Lightning. Those poor guys have been waiting forever for their awards for winning the cup.

And I actually hope the NHL goes back to being something of a fringe sport in the U.S. I don't know if there's a direct connection between the two, but the game was much more entertaining before Gary Bettman's failed attempt to turn the league into the second coming of the NBA.

I'll be happy when the season finally rolls around again. Even though I've had the opportunity to watch the Pistons have a couple great seasons in a row, hockey in its current state is better than the basketball product today IMO. The league will still need to make some drastic moves of the ice to get more fans involved. Subtle rules changes on the ice would presumably help as well, but time will tell.


But in the end, lets worry abooot it after football season is done

I'm going to watch and I'm going to go to games.. (I've only gone to one game ever) My NHL withdrawl is so bad that I need to get my fix right at the source.
