Set Registry and the price on cards.

Has any one else seen something like this happen. In the 1990 OPC Premier Set Registry a there are three of us that need one Particular card in PSA 10 to complete the set in all PSA 10. That card is of the "Great One" Keith Premeau. Now I understand that he is a better than average player but the price this card fetched was a little insane. I put ina bid up to 69.99 and figured that was too much. But $281 for this guy is absurd, I know it is worth what somone is willing to pay for it. I figured some of you might get a chuckle out of this.

All I can say is have some patience; there are seven other examples of this card in PSA 10, and surely more will surface when sellers see what kind of prices it is fetching.
This happened with my Venorlandus set a while back. The first PSA 10 Bjorn Borg came up on eBay and sold for $130. At that point in time it was a 1/3. I picked up another from the same seller about a month later for $24. Now the PSA 10 pop has soared to over 30 and examples sell for only $10-15.
