Biggest all star snub in the nl?

Mets fans like myself are b$tching about floyd.

but how guillen from the nats didnt make it or morgan ensburg from the stros. those are my top 2 that should be there.

yes i will admit Beltran took someones spot. Piazza like it or not his numbers as sh$tty as they are this year are still top of the nl.

    didn't floyd get snubbed by valentine a few yrs back too? i am not up on this but do you mean to say Larussa by passed cliff floyd?

    Cliff Floyd, without a doubt in the NL. He's been (aside from Pedro) the Mets best player this season.

    In the AL, how could you leave Clement off the team? And, how about BJ Ryan instead of Rivera?

    well the same mets fans who stuffed the ballot box for beltran, didn't do it for floyd, who is having a much better year.makes no sense? piazza at least has been a star for years,and there are no catchers putting up big #'s.but beltran? lots of outfielders having much better years. i think the fans,players & writers should all vote and thats how it should be picked.

    Don't get me wrong, Beltran is a good young player with a ton of potential... BUT... He's still only a career .282 hitter that had one heck of a post-season run in a contract year.
    So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

    im a sox fan for life, lived in the city, born there, now live in a suburb of boston so my comments are not biased...

    Mariano Riveria over BJ Ryan is def the right choice...Rivera has like a .8 era after the first 2 games of the season (HAHA!! we know who those were against)

    Clement got snubbed,I think TImlin did also (ok , some bias) and Jeter will get on as the final pick (he is in that Ripken,Larkin group of "Always" an all-star)

    Soriano is a beast and is on the bench after being the MVP last year, Brain Roberts is having a decent year but no where close to the
    power numbers Alf is putting up.

    remember that "MEDIA HYPE" has a lot to do with who goes and who doesnt, and Roberts has been getting alot of coverage (esp. earlier in the yr) where Soriano isnt being mentioned as he once was while in NY (EaST COAST BIAS??)

    Anyway, I stand corrected - BJ Ryan is on the team as well as Rivera. But, leaving Clement off?

    Clement is interesting but there may be more than meets the eye- Tito put Bartolo on instead of MC (saving clement for some more rest possibly??)

    I bet you are right about Tito and Clement...but, I still feel he deserves a spot. He's been one of the top starters in the AL so far, and without him, the Sox would have been in trouble (since Schilling has been down).

    o i agree 100% about MC belonging there, esp. as a sox fan...but- he was roughed up nicely last game and every1 could use the rest right about now, and it wouldnt put it past tito,theo,and even MC to pull a "fast one" by having MC upset he didnt make it but really they chose him no to go to get the rest...

    Floyd was borderline. He has tailed off a bit. The problem is that each team has to have a player that's why L-Gonz/Alou are there. I'm not sure who OF Floyd could have replaced besides Beltran who was a fan vote. Another snub in my book was Nick Johnson, I'm very surprised the players voted in Cesar Izturis.
