Wow, this thread is going to absolutely kill the dial-uppers.
that has to be the understatement of the Century!!! i could never have attempted entering this kind of thread last year, much less author and edit it. just say "Amen" for cable/DSL/sattelite.
we'll be doing some late night and weekend long updating to get things organized. there have been some fantastic coins submitted this past week, things have really started to shape up nicely. this is sort of like takinbg a trip to some Forum Member gathering where everybody brings something for the ultimate show-and-tell, just to cool.
Hey, I remember this coin: 1885 PCGS PR64CAM---WACoinGuy !
It is very sweet in person and made quite an impression on men when I viewed in in my rookie days. That was a pretty cool get together with Jeff Tryka, DeSotto, OldTrader3 and WACoinGuy. And of course, me, EZ-E outside of Seattle.
Once thing that the NGC forums lack is threads on type coins! Really kind of sux since that is my preference, i.e. high grade types and 19th century proofs. Once I get my photography skills up and rolling then I'll share some sweet ones.

just an update on the set's progress---it's about 2/3 complete already!!!! if you haven't viewed the web-page yet, i'd encourage you to give it a peek. the images load quickly and the way they're stacked the appearance is nice. member solid has been a champ and done a nice job adding the "SuperSize" feature for easier individual image viewing.
any suggestions/comments are welcome and appreciated.
This web-site composes a virtual type set of U.S. Coinage 1792-1964.
That line always bugged me, too - here is some definitions from www.dictionary.com:
Composes:
To make up the constituent parts of; constitute or form: an exhibit composed of French paintings; the many ethnic groups that compose our nation. To make or create by putting together parts or elements. To create or produce (a literary or musical piece). To make (oneself) calm or tranquil: Compose yourself and deal with the problems logically. To settle or adjust; reconcile: They managed to compose their differences. To arrange aesthetically or artistically. Printing. To arrange or set (type or matter to be printed).
Comprises:
To consist of; be composed of: “The French got... French Equatorial Africa, comprising several territories” (Alex Shoumatoff). To include; contain: “The word ‘politics’... comprises, in itself, a difficult study of no inconsiderable magnitude” (Charles Dickens). See Synonyms at include. Usage Problem. To compose; constitute: “Put together the slaughterhouses, the steel mills, the freight yards... that comprised the city” (Saul Bellow).
Usage note:
The traditional rule states that the whole comprises the parts and the parts compose the whole. In strict usage: The Union comprises 50 states. Fifty states compose (or constitute or make up) the Union. Even though careful writers often maintain this distinction, comprise is increasingly used in place of compose, especially in the passive: The Union is comprised of 50 states.
