A new low for ebay sellers

1908 $20 Saint - "PCGS MS65+"
At first I couldn't understand why this coin was going for under MS65 money, esp. since it was a first gen coin. Most first gen MS65's easily meet today's 65 standards. I looked hard at first and still found nothing. I couldn't quite make out the grade on the insert but did it say "MS64?" Sure enough. Then further down in the description the seller mentions it is a 64 but that he guarantees it will stand up to any 65, or your "full" money back. What a guy!
Nowhere do I see that he would pay grading fees and give a refund if it failed to go 65. Almost makes you wonder why he didn't send it back himself if he thinks it might go MS66. Frankly, it would be foolish not to resubmit it himself if of near MS66 quality since he states there are NO blemishes and it has great eye appeal...better than any 65. Uhh-huh.
In any event 18 bids so far and the high one well over $1100, for the chance to save $100 if it goes MS65. No where does it mention the downside of $400 or more if it stays a 64. 4-1 downside....those are my kind of odds! The photos stink too so you can't really tell anything.

Just when you thought you saw it all, Max comes out with another auction to top the first one. The guy has 100% POS FB too! Incredible.
This auction is a 1904 $2-1/2 Lib PCGS which the seller describes as without blemishes of any kind, spot free, mark free, and "xxx-free."
(you fill in the adjective). On top of that he calls it a MS65. But his grade of 64.9+ is of course conservative. Once again he is passing up the profit potential in favor of building his growing customer base.
His piece de resistance is calling the 1904 the "rarest of the dates from 1897-1907." Heck, and I always thought the pre-1900 dates were the tougher ones. You learn something new every day.
Thanks Max for pointing out this sleeper date to us all.
Up for auction is this 1904 $2.50 Lib. PCGS MS-64,i thought it would grade a MS-65,and i still think it is a MS-65.This coin does not have a blemish anywhere on it,that i can find.Very Lusterous, well struck, spotfree, and Exceptional Eye Appeal. This date is the rarest of any from 1897-1907.This is the sleeper in the $2.50 lib,s. This is diffinately a nice one.Thank,s for looking and GOOD LUCK.
He deffinately knows his stuff! There are a number of other Max auctions going on but I wanted to bring you some of his best.

You got to the guy some credit. At the coin is genuine. That's more than you can say for the guy who is selling fake Wisconsin extra leaf quarters and the crooks who are selling genunine Hong Kong mint U.S. Trade Dollars.
Ebay is a risky place for stupid people. It's bad enough for smart people.
All they guarantee is: "...but i can Guarantee it is MS-65." How do you guarantee something that's subjective? It's not like you can test it with a two-day return privilege.
