Barber Dime Help

Stumbled across this dime and I am not a barber dime expert by no means but this dime looks funky to me. I think it has either been cleaned or dipped. What do you guys think?

very hard to tell from the picture ... at first glance it looks AU58 (maybe better) ... but then I look again and it might have some patches where the luster is a little off, like it had a chem' bath for a bit too long

Probably cleaned, but it looks like an AU coin, so it doesn't look too far out of whack. If there are no hairlines, it is not a bad looking coin at all.

    Probably a dipped AU.

Looks like a lusterous AU58. If so the dipping wouldn't really matter and it would grade.
  • Looks like a whiz job to me, a good one too. Look at the field area around the bow
on the bottom reverse. Looks too diffuse to be so bright. Check the bow with 30x
to see if there is excess metal build up.
